Lilla H. Benovitz of Holland, Pennsylvania died Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 334 Rockledge Avenue. She was 89 years old. Lilla was born April 9, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harry Nagel and the late Lilla S.P. Nagel (nee - Jackson). She is the beloved wife of the late Milton Benovitz, mother of Lilla Pernicello, Jim Longstreth, Joseph Longstreth and John Longstreth; grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 7; great great grandmother of 2; sister of the late Raymond Nagel, the late Agnes Hilinski, the late Martha Jane Jackson, and the late John Nagel; also survived by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lilla was a member of Daughters of the Nile and her knitting club. She was a long-time member of St. Bede The Venerable parish in Southampton, PA. She loved going out to the theater with her friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. and memorial service at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Interment was private.
Religious services were conducted by The Rev. Daniel Hinkle, Rector of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
