Gertrude L. Rand of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was 89 years old. Gertrude was born April 18, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Rudolph W. Demko and the late Emma C. Demko (nee - Schaffer). She is the beloved mother of Barbara J. Mack and her dear friend Jack Stevenson and her late husband Raymond, and Janet Jensen and her husband Norman; grandmother of Kyle Jensen and his fiancé Mariah Stevens, Emma Jensen and the late Stephanie Jensen. She is also survived by her cousin Nancy Woodrow. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Demko.

Trudy was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia where she graduated from Olney High School. She was a retiree of Bell Telephone where she worked as a secretary. Trudy was an avid reader and a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. She enjoyed visiting with her sister in Ocean City where she would visit with her grandkids.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church, 3470 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dave Carey from Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Philadelphia Protestant Home Benevolent Fund, 6401 Martins Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
