Catherine B. McCarthy of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania passed away surrounded by family on September 24, 2021 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius T. and Marie A. Blair. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. McCarthy; brothers Robert Blair, James Blair and Joseph Blair and her sisters Marie McKenna, Cornelia Swanson and Margaret Cahill. Catherine is survived by her daughter Eileen and son-in-law William as well as their children Katelyn, Nicholas and Matthew. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. Mass followed at 10:30 A.M. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
Religious services were conducted by Msgr. Richard T. Bolger from St. Hilary of Poitiers Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary Residence, 247 South 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 care of Kathleen Nelson, director.
