Mary ann Andres of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021, at home. She was 74 years old. Mary ann was born on January 15, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John Fitzpatrick and the late Elsie Fitzpatrick (nee – Duffy). Devoted wife of 53 years to H. Joseph Andres. Loving mother of Lisa Lutz (Raymond), and Joseph Andres (Kelly). Beloved grandmother to Madeline and Jack. Loving sister of the late Catherine “Cookie” Brooker.
Mary ann worked as a bookkeeper at Pennsylvania Engineering for over 35 years while also raising a family in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia. She was a long-time parishioner of St. William Parish. She was a true “foodie” and enjoyed exploring the Philadelphia restaurant scene with her husband and friends, but she was happiest cooking for others, including her holiday meals.
She also enjoyed traveling, doing puzzles, staying informed of current events, traveling to Bethesda, Maryland to visit her grandkids, and following her beloved Phillies. Mary ann’s greatest legacy was being of service to her family as wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mary ann will be laid to rest in a private ceremony. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would deeply appreciate a mass said in her memory at your local church.
