Andrew Lisle Jacoby Sr. of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Monday, October 18, 2021 at his home. He was 95 years old. Andrew was born November 29, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Carlisle William Jacoby and the late Florence Jean Jacoby (nee - Alig). He is the beloved husband of Eda; father of Lisa M. McSparron and her husband Allen, René Jacoby and her husband Joel Trexler, Andrea F. Brunhofer and her husband Herbert H., Andrew L. Jacoby, Jr. and his wife Olivera, and Erika Burnick; grandfather of thirteen; great grandfather of 2; and the brother of the late Helen L. Cassidy and her husband the late James.

Andy was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was drafted into the United States Navy after high school and served honorably in World War II. He founded Woodcraft Products Company in 1946 in Philadelphia. He was continuing to oversee the operations into his nineties. The company remains family owned and operated. Andy was drafted a second time during the Korean War and received another honorable discharge in October of 1952. Andy and Eda met through her employer. The two were married June 14, 1958 at St. Helena’s Parish in Philadelphia. In his free time, Andy enjoyed playing the clarinet, studying history, and making silly jokes.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church of Northeast Philadelphia, 241 Cadwalader Street, Elkins Park, PA 19027. Interment with Navy honors was private.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. James Martin from Calvary Baptist Church of Northeast Philadelphia.
