Kathleen P. Burner of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Lafayette Redeemer. She was 89 years old. Kathleen was born June 26, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Thomas P. Forkin and the late Mary Ellen Forkin (nee - Coppinger). She is the beloved wife of 67 years of James E. Burner; mother of James Joseph Burner and his wife Kathy, Michael Patrick Burner and his wife Franny, Kathleen A. Condon and her husband Michael Francis Condon III, and Suzanne T. Foust and her huband Gregory; grandmother of 9; and the great grandmother of 9. She is also survived by her sister Anne Sessa and her husband Ernest and her sister in law Alba Forkin.
Kathleen was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia where she was a proud 1950 graduate of Little Flower High School. She worked for fifteen years for Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a phone representative. Kathleen and James were married October 23, 1954 at St. Veronica’s Parish in Philadelphia. They raised their family in the Oxford Circle section of the city.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027. Her graveside service followed at Calvary Cemetery, 235 East Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Efren V. Esmilla from St. James Church.
