Geraldine K. "Gerry” Powell of Horsham Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years young. Gerry was born December 20, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Raymond and Kathryn McGuire. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Powell Jr. and dear friend of the late Wm R. “Bill” Calhoun; loving mother of Kimberley (Larry) Howse, Alexandra “Sandee” M. Liott, Gigi (Brian) Groth and the late Gerrae Wallace; The Best Mimi of Victoria, Julia, Matthew, and Michael Howse, Zachary (Hyeju), Peyton, Myah, Sadie, and William Groth; Great Mimi of Liam and Noah Groth; sister of Dee (Ronnie) Richter, Patty (Randy) Ehrenzeller and the late Kathleen Vandegrift; sister in law of Bow Michael and the late Ann Depman.

Gerry was born, raised, and educated in the Burholme section of Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of St. Hubert’s High School. Early on she worked as an executive secretary for Acme Markets. She had many real estate ventures. She later joined her husband owning the Moon Tavern. She continued his legacy, after his sudden passing in 1980, for three decades. She always said her biggest accomplishment was raising 4 daughters and putting them through college. Gerry enjoyed being with family and friends, watching the deer in her yard, reading, history, traveling, Goddess weekends, and 37th St Beach in OCNJ. Her work ethic and unwavering strength was displayed in all she did.

Gerry’s favorite quote:
Behold your Name .... “Whatever your mind can Conceive and Believe, it can Achieve”

In Gerry’s memory please wear a splash of aqua, her favorite color.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. and Celebration of life service at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA 18914.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Christopher Hospital for Children - St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children, 1800 JFK Boulevard, Suite 1550, Philadelphia, PA 19103
