John A. McNulty of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was 90 years old. John was born April 4, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late John McNulty and the late Margaret McNulty (nee Garrod). He is the beloved husband of 61 years of the late Jane C. McNulty (nee Smith); father of Jack McNulty, Michael McNulty and his wife Lynn, Joseph McNulty, and David McNulty; grandfather of Alexandra McNulty and Katelyn McNulty; brother of Robert McNulty, Joseph McNulty, Patrick McNulty, and Marguerite Greco. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
John was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School. After high school he enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Okinawa, Japan. John kept fit as a boxer while serving. Jane and John raised their boys in the West Oak Lane section of the city and moved to the Lawndale section in 1972. He was a lifelong Eagles fan and was a proud member of AA for 45 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. and funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Common Space, 25 Rittenhouse Place, Ardmore, PA 19003.
