Kathryn M. Catardi of Glenside, Pennsylvania died Monday, December 6, 2021 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. She was 100 years old. Kathryn was born March 21, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Henri E. deMaison Sr. and the late Helen deMaison (nee - Rock). She is the beloved wife of the late Edward A. MacKenzie and the late Russell W. Catardi; Mother of Carole A. Coomes and the late Allen E. MacKenzie; sister of Madeline Tidwell, the late Henri E. deMaison Jr., and the late Norma N. Weber. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews and her cat Max and her grand kitties.

Kathryn was born in Philadelphia and lived the rest of her life in Ardsley, PA. She was a proud graduate of Abington High School class of 1939 and enjoyed her many reunions. Kathryn was credit manager for J.B. Van Sciver Company in Jenkintown for 27 years until the furniture store closed. She loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed reading her newspaper and doing the word jumble over breakfast. Her breakfast would always consist of a large orange juice, a bowl of oatmeal, half a cup of coffee, and possibly a donut or other pastry. Kathryn was a long time member of Jarrettown United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking, especially her pies, for her family. On her 100th birthday this year, channel three came out to her home and interviewed her and had a drive by to celebrate her milestone birthday.

Relatives and friends were invited to her graveside service on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Robert Strauss from Jarrettown United Methodist Church, 1460 Limekiln Pike, Jarrettown, PA 19025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Montgomery County SPCA - SPCA of Montgomery County, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
