Joanne B. Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home. She was 79 years old. Joanne was born July 12, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William Walter Haney and the late Elizabeth Joanne Haney (nee - Doll). She is the beloved wife of the late David Smith; mother of Joan Monaco and her husband Richard Monaco and Peg Huttick; grandmother of Diana Unser and her husband Nick, Katie Hendrickson and her husband Eric, Ashley Markert and her husband Tim, and Chris Huttick; great grandmother of Charlotte Dougherty and another great grandchild expected to arrive in May; sister of Jean Willard and her husband Don and Lynne Haney.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to National Kidney Foundation, 1500 Walnut Street, Suite 301, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
