Michael Joseph Sharkey of Horsham, Pennsylvania died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his home. He was 65 years old. Michael was born November 19, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Hugh A. Sharkey and the late Anne M. Sharkey (nee - Regan). He is the beloved partner of Judith Bottone and her children Michael and his wife Misty, Jennifer Wambold and her husband Raymond, Amanda Datis and her husband Jason, and John Bark and his wife Heather; and grandchildren Cameron, Bryson, Brandon, Jayla, Gabe, Jasele, Thomas, Nathan, and Kenneth; devoted brother of Susan M. McKelvey (James), Maureen A. Fulcher (the late Thomas), Patrick M. (the late Margery), Hugh P. (Kathleen) Sharkey, Annemarie T. Conte (Robert), Nora M. Quigley (Timothy), and the late Sean F. Sharkey. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Mike was raised and educated in Cheltenham, PA. He was a retired mechanic for Septa.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. His graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Joseph F. Rymdeika from St. Catherine of Siena Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
