Theodore Lee Curran (Teddy, Ted) passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2021, at the age of 46.
Raised in Bucks County Pennsylvania, Teddy attended Council Rock Schools, graduating from Council Rock North. During these years he participated in wrestling, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer on both school and club teams. Ted attended James Madison University earning a Bachelor of Administration degree (Summa Cum Laude). While there, he spent a semester in Salamanca Spain and extended his proficiency in Spanish. He continued his education receiving his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ted was a natural with numbers and problem solving; therefore, his professional life always included finance positions. In Pittsburgh, he had the privilege of being the Executive Director of Finance at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon. His most recent employment was at UPMC where he was Senior Director of Insurance Services. Ted displayed a dedication to his positions and an appreciation of his extraordinary staff members. Ted served as Treasurer of O'Hara Township in Pittsburgh. He supported the Cultural Trust of Pittsburgh in various aspects. Teddy worked quietly, often helping others in need. He was humble about achievements like completing in the Pittsburgh marathon with no training.
Ted is survived by his wife Erin, his beloved children Luke and Elena, and his devoted mother Dorothy Curran. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Joan Dalton, a sister-in-law Heather, and other caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services were held privately.
