Hugh T. Ryan of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. He was 94 years old. Hugh was born April 16, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late James Ryan and the late Hazel Ryan (nee - Woolf). He is the beloved husband of Myrtle E. Ryan (née Hulton) for 73 years; father of Sandra DiGiulio (Anthony), Hugh Ryan, Jr. (Estelle Maisey), Michele Ryan (Edward Hayes), and Elizabeth Morris (Vincent); grandfather of 7; great granfather of 7.

Hugh grew up in the Northeast Philadelphia and Rockledge / Hollywood areas. He and Myrtle are longtime members of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Rockledge, PA. Hugh was the owner of the Willard MacDonnell Agency in Center City Philadelphia for 46 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 10:30 A.M. and funeral service at 11:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed with military honors rendered by the United States Army at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services were conducted by The Rev. Daniel W. Hinkle, Rector of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046 or Sunshine Foundation, 101 Lakeside Park, Southampton, PA 18966.
