Stephen T. Coletta, 52, of Newport, Pennsylvania died suddenly on January 25, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. Born August 26, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his beloved wife Judith A. (nee Macartney) and proud and loving father of Samantha and Nicholas Coletta. Son of Louis G. Coletta and Suzanne (nee Butler) Hontscharik (Wasil), brother of Melissa Lee (Joseph) and Louis R. Coletta (Lisa). He is also survived his many Macartney in-laws, Rick, Greg, Lorraine, Glenn, Doug, Amy, Jeff, Gary, Kevin and Jen Alan along with many dearly loved nieces, and nephews.
Steve was raised in Feltonville, a very close-knit section of Philadelphia back in the 70s and 80s. Those childhood memories and friendships remained dear in his heart. He was an electrician by trade working in both Philadelphia and Perry Counties. Steve enjoyed a simple life and found great happiness in the town of Newport, PA. Steve loved everyone. Everyone he met was greeted with a warm welcome. He was always telling jokes and sharing stories because he loved making people happy. He looked for the best of any situation. Steve always remained a big child at heart and all the children he met in his life, loved him for that quality. His warm and caring nature will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. and funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
