Penny Dunn of Warminster, Pennsylvania died suddenly Friday, February 4, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital of Pneumonia. She was 76 years old. Penny was born July 9, 1945 in San Diego, California, daughter of the late John Finney Rosenberger and the late Teresa Margaret Rosenberger (nee - Leary). She is the beloved wife of the late Bill Bartholomew; sister of Sandy Finney and her husband John and the late Terry Hoag and her husband Tom; aunt of Candy Lee and her husband Bill and their children Tony and Billy, Tom Hoag and his wife Stacy, Matt Hoag and his wife Connie and their son Sammy, Jackie Panza and her husband Sal and their children Milo and Dusty, and Jason Finney and his wife Ashley and their daughter Ava Jane. She is also survived by her dear Boston Terrier Kermie.

Penny was active at the Ben Wilson Senior Center and a was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a restaurateur during her working career and was the owner of Pennys Luncheonette. Penny enjoyed camping at the Surf and Stream site in Toms River, New Jersey. People knew her as the “frog lady” due to her substantial collection of frog figurines and related collectables. In their younger years Penny and her ex-husband Harold had a drag racing car called “Sir Nomad” that Harold would drive. Penny attended all of the races. They won so many races one year that they qualified to race in Indianapolis and won that event too. She loved watching NASCAR races. If you knew Penny, she probably got you in mischievous trouble at some point. She had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help others. She loved and cared for all of her rescued dogs.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by Pastor Deborah Wolfe, pastor of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 7965 Fillmore Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue.
