Joseph F. "Joe" Kramer of Lansdale, Pennsylvania died Friday, February 11, 2022 at Dock Woods Community. He was 93 years old. Joe was born January 1, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harry C. Kramer and the late Josephine Kramer (nee - Dreaver). He is the beloved husband of Emily E. Kramer (nee Everhardt); father of Joseph P. Kramer and his wife Janice, Debra L. Benbow and her husband David, and Robert B. Kramer and his wife Julie; grandfather of Douglas, Glenn, Brett, Lori, Michelle, Brad, Drew, Hannah, and Laura; great grandfather of Talia, Ben, Simon, Josephine, Norah, James, Benjamin, John Joseph, and Nolan; brother of the late Harry Kramer.
Joe was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Northeast High School and continued his education at Drexel University. Joe met Emily in a boarding house while on vacation in Wildwood, NJ. The two were married in October of 1950. He was drafted into the United States Army in January of 1952 and served as a map draftsman in Frankford, Germany while the occupation of Germany continued during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in December of 1953. Joe worked for 41 years as a draftsman for PECO. He was a musician and enjoyed classical and big band music.
Joe was a devoted family man, He loved God and attended church for many years at Chelten, then at Davisville Church in Warminster, and was an avid reader.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. The following services and burial were private at the family’s request.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Stan Hagberg from Chelten a Church of Hope, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Cairn University, 200 Manor Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047.
