Mildred (Millie) M. Minster died at home on April 22, 2022. She was 92 years old. Millie was born on July 24,1929 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Strobel and the late Anna Marie Strobel, wife of the late Carl J. Minster, Jr, and sister to the late Gertrude Stebbins. Millie is survived by her daughter, Barbara McMeekin, son, Carl J. Minster III Esq. and husband David J.J. Facciolo Esq., three granddaughters Kerry McMeekin, Tara McMeekin, and Tracey Jodexnis and wife Alyssa Jodexnis, niece Nancy Ritter and husband James Hutchison, a great niece and nephew, and two great-great nieces and Pablo Gonzalez.

Millie lived in the house she and Carl built in Fox Chase for 65 years. She enjoyed the relationships and interactions with the neighbors and businesses within the community working at the old Ed’s Market for 7 years. In later years, Millie and her neighbors would sit in her driveway on Halloween night to hand out goodies to the trick-or-treaters. She loved people and was always available to lend a hand when needed. Millie could always be found in a conversation with people no matter where she went.

She loved to bake and share what she made with family, friends, and neighbors. Millie also loved to travel driving cross-country with Carl and children for long vacations. In later years, she and Carl traveled with friends to Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe. Millie loved to play pinochle and spent many Saturday nights, and holiday picnics with friends playing the game and sharing homemade foods. Her other interests included crocheting, sewing, going to the movies, reading, and gardening but above all her family came first.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. and funeral service at 10:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
