Hector “Lou” Colon passed away suddenly on March 18, 2022, at the age of 41, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Lou, as he was fondly called by his family and friends, is survived by his grandmothers Maria Colon and Elba Ortiz, his loving parents Hector Colon (Jacqueline Colon) and Margarita Rodriguez, his children – Cristiliana, Ayanna, D’Angelis, Damyr, Leilani and Nasir. Lou is also survived by his caring siblings, Jamayra, Lee and Michael, as well as his nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Lou was born and raised in Philadelphia, where he graduated high school and most recently resided in Tampa Florida where he worked as a Certified Bridge Repair and Maintenance Operator and loved what he did. Lou had great pride in his work and had a great passion for “riding” which began at a young age. He will also be remembered for his gregarious character and positive attitude that blessed all those he encountered. Lou will forever be in the hearts of those that loved him and will be dearly missed by all.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Armando Ramos from Zion Assembly of God, 635 West Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
