Marion Brodie Smith of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85 years old. Marion was born April 11, 1937 in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Vincent Brodie Sr. and the late Esther Mae Brodie (nee - Collins). Marion is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alan Kingston Smith Jr.; two daughters, Carolyn Santillan and her husband Rafe, and Linda Carle and her husband Jerry; one son, Alan K. Smith III and his wife Elizabeth; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Marion graduated from Germantown high school in Philadelphia 13th in her class. Marion was a proud homemaker. She also worked as an Avon lady for a few years, and at Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania for about five years. She enjoyed classical piano playing and was interested in astrology.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 11:30 A.M. and funeral service at 12:30 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
Religious services were conducted by Chaplain Peter Gregory, US Navy Retired.
