Carol A. Maier of Warminster, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Dresher. She was 75 years old. Carol was born November 26, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William D. Heidenwag and the late Alma Louise Heidenwag (nee - Bohm). She is the beloved wife of Robert J. Maier; mother of Christine Elliott and her husband Scott and Victoria Chubb and her husband Mark; grandmother of Andrew Chubb and his wife Amanda, Collin Mazzuca, Kyle Chubb, Cody Wooten and his wife Ambriyanna, and Kylie Elliott; great grandmother of Ayden Chubb, Greyson Mazzuca, Aleigha Chubb, Anthony Chubb, Axton Chubb, Greyson Wooten, and Aubrei Chubb; sister of Donald W. Heidenwag and his wife Mary Ann. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Carol was raised and educated in the Willow Grove section of Upper Dublin Township. She was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School. A neighbor boy, Bob Maier, noticed her outside with her cat and managed to have mutual friends set up a blind date. The two dated for seven years and five months before marrying at St. David Parish in Willow Grove in 1970. They moved to Warminster in 1972 and Carol was blessed to be able to stay home to raise their daughters. Carol never lost her love for cats and dogs throughout her life. She collected porcelain and ceramic dolls as well as crystal ornaments in her free time.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
