Jerry David Cohen of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. He was 69 years old. Jerry was born September 2, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Herman Cohen and the late Sylvia Cohen (nee - Schiffman). He is the beloved husband of Randy Milakofsky; Loving brother of Beverly Cohen, Marlene and Alan Zubrow and Steve and Marsha Milakofsky, fur father of Jackson, adoring uncle of Sam, Rachael, Adam, Allison, Ben, Ali, Michael, Michelle, Keith, Lindsey, several “chosen” nieces and nephews who he loved and followed with his heart; proud great uncle of Jack, Bella, Saylor, Braylen, Madison, Charlie, Ziggy, Lola, Sully and Hank.
Jerry was retired from Abington Hospital where he assisted OB/GYN Residents with their research requirements. His work in research and his volunteer work with Hahnemann’s Homeless Clinic were the two passions of his career. His personal passion was rescuing and caring for all animals. He was a good and kind man.
In lieu of Shiva, a private memorial service will be held in the near future.
