The following obituary was written by Constance’s family:
Constance E. Frueh, 91, of Springhouse Estates, Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at her home.
Born November 7, 1930, to Conrad and Frances Sparks. Connie, to all who knew her, was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Connie was the loving wife of George H. Frueh before his death in 2013. Born in Philadelphia, she was the older sister to Richard Sparks, Marvene Kinzinger, and Allison Sparks.
Connie was totally dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. Her children are; Carol Krisch and husband Alfred of Malvern; George Holzhauer and wife Marie of Abington; Jean Transue and late husband Neil of Saylorsburg; and deceased son Robert and daughter in law Valerie Holzhauer-Strangeway (Mark) of Harleysville.
Connie was an exceptional grandmother of ten and great grandmother to sixteen with twin boys arriving this November and another grandson in December.
Connie was preceded in death by Richard Sparks, brother; George M. Holzhauer, ex husband; Neil Transue, son in law; Robert Holzhauer, son; and Brian Krisch, grandson.
Connie enjoyed family vacations with her children. She enjoyed card games, puzzles, watching Judge Judy and game shows, and people watching. She was a pinochle “shark”! She knitted and volunteered at Springhouse in her 70s and 80s. She was active in her church.
Connie was one of a kind (the best kind) and will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial luncheon will be scheduled at a later date. Wetzel and Son Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
