Dorothy S. Woldecke of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home. She was 89 years old. Dorothy was born October 10, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Robert Oliver Schneider and the late Dorothy Lulu Schneider (nee - Aldrich). She is the beloved wife of Dietmar R. Woldecke; mother of Cheryl Palm and her husband Robert, Ronald R. Woldecke, Kristine K. Hester and her husband Thomas, and Kurt Woldecke; grandmother of Corrine Flaherty and her husband James; sister of Bettie Lou Dawson and her husband Ray, Robert Schneider and his wife Dorothy, the late Carole McConnell and her husband the late Roy, and the late Irene Coleman and her husband the late Fred. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was born, raised, and educated in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Sewickley High School and went to work as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone. Dorothy loved to dance and met her future husband at a local dance. The two were married in Fort Washington where he was living after emigrating from Germany. They raised their family in Willow Grove. While raising her children, Dorothy worked in the school cafeteria at Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School. Dorothy loved to play cards, especially with her sisters and family, and still enjoyed dancing with her beloved Dietmar.

Memorial and luncheon was held for both Dietmar and Dorothy for a celebration of life on Saturday November 12th at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE Club) 130 Davisville Road Warminster, PA 18974 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory, as she loved animals, to the SPCA of Montgomery County, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
