Natalie S. Brehouse of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was 77 years old. Natalie was born May 26, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frederick Schmid Jr. and Eleanore L. Schmid (nee - Gross). She is the daughter of Eleanore L. Schmid (nee Gross) and the late Frederick Schmid Jr. Beloved wife of 54 years of the late Dr. Robert H. Brehouse; Cherished mother of Jason (MaryBridget). Dear grandmother of Tatyanah M. and Sasha A.; devoted sister of Allan Schmid (Cindy) and Paul Schmid (Theresa).

Natalie was born, raised, and educated in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Frankford High School and continued her education with a Bachelors degree in Education from West Chester University and a Masters degree from Temple University. She taught for many years in Philadelphia at Thomas Creighton and Rhawnhurst Schools.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Frankford Memorial United Methodist Church, 1300 Dyre Street, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Her graveside service followed at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Randy Brubaker from Frankford Memorial United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Charity of the donor’s choice.
