Margaret Rose "Peggy" Weaver of Dresher, Pennsylvania died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. She was 93 years old. Peggy was born July 11, 1929 in Philadlephia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James McKinney and the late Margaret McKinney (nee - Brown). She is the beloved wife of the late Robert Martin Weaver; mother of Robert M. Weaver Jr. and his wife Janine Dedon and Peggy Ann Schubert and her husband Gary Gallo; grandmother of Caitlin Elizabeth Schubert and her husband Cullen Wise; sister of the late James McKinney and his wife the late Frances. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was born, raised, and educated in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Little Flower High School in the city. In her early days she worked at Bell Telephone and the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Peggy met Robert while he was operating the Alps attraction at Willow Grove Park. Robert proposed to her on their third date. They were married June 2, 1951 in Chestnut Hill at Our Lady of Consolation Parish. They raised their growing family in Roslyn and later bought their forever home in Hatboro. Peggy was an avid reader, enjoyed singing, watching her granddaughter at gymnastic competitions, and a major consumer of tea. Peggy and Robert enjoyed every opportunity they had to travel with memorable trips to Hawaii, Bermuda, Europe, Boston, and to Ireland to visit relatives. She loved to be around people and lively conversation, or “Craic” as they would say in Ireland. Peggy was kind of heart and dearly appreciative of the kindness and joy she received from the many visits by family during her illness.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002. Her graveside service followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Msgr. Brian P. Hennessy from St. Alphonsus Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002.
