Francis J Brown, AKA Frank or Ted, age 88, passed away on September 13, 2022.
Frank was the eldest of 5 children and was born on October 5, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Francis and Helen Brown (nee Arnold). After graduating from Olney High School in 1952, he began his career with Leeds & Northrup.

Frank married his high school sweetheart, Luise D. Herold, on October 10, 1953, and had 4 children: Bonnie, Barbara, Eric and Kurt.

Early in their marriage, Frank continued his education earning an A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and took additional courses at La Salle University. During his career, he had the opportunity to travel to Egypt, Japan and England. Frank and Luise started their own company, Sigma Dynamics, where they worked with specialized optical stabilization units used for helicopters and tanks as well as medical devices. Frank continued to stay busy after retirement by maintaining his home, cooking creatively, visiting friends, reading and daily observance of happy hour (sometimes including a good cigar).

Frank was predeceased by Luise, his wife of 54 years. He is survived by his siblings: Jeanne Hesser (husband George), Patricia Devlin, Carol Blinebury (husband Joseph), and Michael Brown (wife Carol); children: Bonnie Finch (husband Douglas), Barbara Wilski (husband David), Eric Brown (wife Kathy), and Kurt Brown. He had 8 grandchildren: Kristin Finch Weinig, Steven Finch, Rebekah Finch Kumar, Lyn Wilski Hannum, Jacob & Harrison Brown, and Christopher & Matthew Brown. He had 8 great-grandchildren: Alexis, Victoria, Gabriella, & Andrew Weinig, Thomas & Benjamin Kumar, Emilia Brown, and Bennett Brown.

Services were private. Frank and Luise are entombed at Gloria Dei Church in Huntingdon Valley, PA, in the Garden of Hope. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Frank's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
