Everett William Kohn of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. He was 91 years old. Everett was born August 5, 1931 in Marshalltown, Iowa, son of the late Everett William Kohn and the late Zelma Bernice Kohn (nee - Farmer). He is the beloved husband of the late Joan R. Kohn; step-father of Gregory Midwood and his wife Nancy; grandfather of Michael and Cole Midwood; brother of James Kohn and his wife the late Cheryl and brother of Judy Degerstedt and her husband the late Russell; uncle of Cathy Wyant and her husband Jeff.
Everett graduated from West Waterloo High School and continued his education at Gates Business College, Waterloo, Iowa. He joined the US Navy in December of 1950 and served honorably until his discharge in November of 1952. Everett retired from Gulf Oil after 30 years in 1982 where he worked as a First-Line Supervisor. He was a big gardener growing many vegetables, he was on a bowling team for many years, and was very active in his grandchildren’s lives growing up.
Relatives and friends were invited to his memorial service on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Carmel Presbyterian Church, 100 Edgehill Road, Glenside, PA 19038. His graveside service followed in the Memory Garden.
