Dietmar Rienhold Woldecke (Diet.) June 1st 1932- October 26th 2022.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Dietmar R. Woldecke of Willow Grove Pa.
Dietmar had a passion for life and was a dedicated husband, father & friend. Shortly after immigrating from Germany in 1954 he joined 2 volunteer fire companies, Horsham & Fort Washington in 1956 and later Soley committed to Fort Washington fire company until he retired as an active member in 2006. He was the oldest living member to this date. Diet was also a proud member of the German American firefighters and club member to the Vereinigung Erzgebrige and enjoyed many festivals and events throughout his life with his family.

Diet met his beloved wife Dorothy at a dance in 1958, married in 1960 and had four children. Dietmar and Dorothy were able to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary this past June before Dorothy's passing on September 7th. They both loved to dance and were committed to each other til the very end.

Dietmar loved to work with his hands fixing things and worked for Whirlpool/RCA & GE as an appliance technician for over 40 years and continued with his generosity lending a helping hand with repairs after he retired.  Diet was also chef inspired who loved to cook elaborate German dishes on the weekends with recipes he learned from his mother. He would also cook for fire fighters after grueling weekend training sessions for many years along with many charities golf events. Dietmar was also very crafty and a self-taught calligrapher. His work is seen in many wedding plaques, certificates and signs for friends and family.

Dietmar is survived by his children, daughter Cheryl Palm & husband Robert, son Ronald Woldecke, daughter Kristine Hester & husband Thomas, granddaughter Corrine Flaherty & husband James and son Kurt Woldecke. Dietmar's sister Karla Semineth & husband Walter, niece Talia & nephew Justin reside in Germany.

Dietmar was fiercely loyal to family and friends, always extended a hand to someone in need and will be sorely missed. With God's grace and mercy may he receive Dietmar & Dorothy in his loving arms for eternity.

Memorial and luncheon was held for both Dietmar and Dorothy for a celebration of life on Saturday November 12th at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE Club) 130 Davisville Road Warminster, PA 18974 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Fort Washington Fire Company, 1245 Fort Washington Avenue, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
