Claire A. Frederick of Oreland, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital Jefferson Health. She was 94 years old. Claire was born August 20, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Adam Anderson and the late Myrtle Anderson (nee - St. Claire). She is the beloved wife of the late Herbert Frederick; mother of Andrew Frederick and Leigh Ann Moran and her husband Michael; grandmother of Jason (Larissa) and Jessica (Ryan). Also survived by her granddog Abigail. Sister of the late Robert “Bobby” Anderson and his wife Veronica “Ronnie”.

Claire was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Kensington Girls High School. Claire met Herbert through her brother and church. They were happily married on April 17, 1954 until Herbert’s passing in April of 2009. They raised their family in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. Claire worked as an accountant for many years at First American Savings Bank. She was past president of the Philadelphia Home and School Association during the 1970’s. In her free time she enjoyed reading and sewing. She enjoyed trips to Ocean City and was active at her churches through out her life. She grew up and was married in Alpha Baptist Church and later became active at Olney Baptist Church where she was also a trustee.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at North Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5800 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124.

Religious services were conducted by Pastor Joseph Randall from Olney Baptist Church of Philadelphia, 239 West Chew Street, Philadelphia, PA 19120.
