Margaret S. "Marge" Rankin of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Friday, November 4, 2022 at Horsham Center for Jewish Life. She was 87 years old. Marge was born August 14, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Joseph Skilton and the late Gladys (nee - Morlock) Skilton-Stockl (the late John Stockl). She is the beloved wife of the late John A. Rankin; Mother of John A. Rankin Jr. and his wife Regina, Michele Rankin, Jo Ann Creeden and her husband Michael, Brian J. Rankin and Margaret M. Swartz and her husband James. Grandmother of Johnny, Jessica, Matthew Rankin, Christopher, Ashley, Michele, and Brian, Joseph Rankin, Katelyn and Alison Creeden, Zachary Swartz, Samantha Moyer; great grandmother of McKenzie, Malachi, Leo John, Madelyn, Raegan, Ayden, Benjamin, Jasper, Elijah and a little girl on the way, Jack, and Adley. Sister of the late Joan Dudley and her husband Bernard. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Marge grew up in Abington and graduated from Abington High School. She met John Rankin at the local Kresge’s five and dime store. The two fell in love and were married May 21, 1955 at Holy Cross Parish in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia. Marge lived on Russell Road in Willow Grove for 62 years. It was here she raised her growing family. She was a devout member of St. David parish where she attended the daily masses and served for many years as an Eucharistic Minister with her husband. In her free time, Marge enjoyed arts and crafts. She would enjoy sharing her talents making shadow boxes for her family members celebrating birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
