Suzanne B. Stokes of Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania died peacefully with family by her side on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Spring House Estates.  She was 92 years old.  Suzanne was born August 20, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Samuel Boyd and the late Wilma Boyd (nee - Piercey).  She is the beloved wife of the late Charles S. Stokes III; mother of Carol S. Barker and her husband Jeffrey, and David G. Stokes and his wife Kathryn; grandmother of Heather Stemp and her husband Christopher, Timothy Smith and his wife Danielle, Paul Stokes and his wife Allie, and Emily Stokes and her fiancée Matthew Grisham; great grandmother of Austin and Finn Stemp, Hudson Smith, and Wyatt Stokes. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Sorensen and her late brother-in-law Walter J. “Mickey” Riedemann and their children.

Suzanne was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. Suzanne and Charles were high school sweethearts and were happily married for 67 years. Suzanne graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelor's degree in History. After a brief career as a teacher, she devoted her time to raising her family. Later in life, she was the manager of the book store at Germantown Academy for 17 years, volunteered at the Upper Moreland Public Library, and also ran the library at Spring House Estates.

Suzanne had a very strong faith, and was an avid member of First Presbyterian Church of Willow Grove, where she served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. Suzanne was also an avid reader, and a lifelong learner. Above all else, Suzanne loved and cherished her family.

Relatives and friends were invited to her memorial service on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Spring House Estates, 728 Norristown Road, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by The Rev. Mindy Campbell from First Presbyterian Church of Warminster PA and Chaplain James Rich from Spring House Estates.
