The following was written by Shane’s family:

Shane Christopher Reed born June 2, 1981 died January 26 2023 age 41 due to heart failure.

Shane is survived by wife Elizabeth Ann Reed, his daughters Maja 7 yo and Naomi 6 yo, father Theodore Reed, stepmother Petra Oslender Reed, brother Cody Lammert, stepbrothers Aaron Robinson and Asher Robinson, Stepsister Nicole Lacayo, and aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane was proceeded in death by his mother Donna Lynn McFarland, and his Opa and Oma Robert and Maja Reed, who he will be laid to rest with.

Shane graduated first in his class with perfect scores from PennCo Tech Electrician School and worked as an electrician/handyman. Shane studied history 2 years at Temple University and became a history buff and expert. Shane was a devout Christian and loved Jesus. He left the church because of the rise in Christian Nationalism within his church and felt his church abandoned the teachings of Christ with their support of a election denying president and their intolerance to gays and transgenders, but he stayed true to his beliefs and the teachings of Jesus. Shane was an expert on the Bible having read it from cover to cover many times. He read the Bible every day. Shane had the heart of a lion and loved his family and friends with his whole heart and wouldn’t think twice about helping a stranger in need.

Shane was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and “Daddy“.  Shane was an amazing soccer player in his youth and played for multiple teams in the California Super League competing against highly skilled opponents like national team player Landon Donovan. Shane enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing with his Opa and snowboarding at Big Bear and Mammoth Mountains too. Most of all Shane enjoyed time spent with his daughters, his little princesses, they were his pride and joy.

Relatives and friends were invited to a celebration of Shane’s life to be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 6:30 PM at the Family Worship Center 1000 Troxel Road, Lansdale, PA 19446.
