George T. Williams Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Friday, February 3, 2023 at Rivers Edge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 82 years old. George was born December 8, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late George T. Williams Sr. and the late Joanna (nee Snyder) Williams. He is the beloved husband of the late Joan H. Williams; father of Anne DiFebbo and her husband Mike, George Williams III and his wife Traci and Matthew Williams; grandfather of Owen Williams, McKenna Williams, Andrew DiFebbo and Lucas DiFebbo.
George was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1963 and served honorably until his discharge in 1969. He joined the Philadelphia Police Department in 1967 and retired from active duty in 1997. Not one to sit still, George went back to work in security for Lasalle University after retirement and retired from that position in 2011.
Services were private at the request of the family.
