Margaret M. Remick, 81, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Margaret was born on February 8,1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of the late Philip Dionisio and the late Madeline Dionisio (nee - McClay).  Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Remick and her sister and best friend Concetta Linder and her brother-in-law Lou Linder, Sr.  Margaret was the loving mother of Donna Cavallo (husband Frank P. Cavallo, Jr., Esquire), Bethanne Schink, Thomas Remick (wife Colleen), and Susan Bokun (husband Joe Bokun). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, including her niece Phyllis DiBattista, who visited her faithfully every week bringing her flowers and coffee. Lastly, she is survived by her beloved dog, Rocky.

Margaret was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. She attended Visitation Grammar School and graduated from Little Flower High School. Margaret met the love of her life, her husband Thomas Remick at age 16. They were married for 32 years prior to his death. Margaret and Thomas lived in the same house that Margaret grew up in until 1969 when they moved to the Pine Valley section of Philadelphia. They loved hosting family, friends and neighbors for special occasions, backyard barbecues and the Holidays. In addition to raising their four children, Margaret helped her husband with his various businesses. In her late 30s, Margaret became a volunteer caregiver for the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer at their Mother House.  While volunteering, the Sisters encouraged her to return to school to pursue a degree in nursing. After graduating from Montgomery County Community College, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Joseph’s Manor (part of the Holy Redeemer Health System) until her retirement. After her husband passed away at only 51 years old, Margaret began going to the Andonios Diner every day for over 25 years, where she met many friends. Margaret was an avid reader. She also enjoyed going dancing with her friends. Above all else, Margaret loved and cherished spending time with her family.

The Family would like to extend their thanks to the caregivers from Holy Redeemer Hospice, Margaret’s Doctors and her private caregivers – Her daughter Beth, Ryan, Jenna and Rose.
