Elliott R. Hardiman of Doylestown, Pennsylvania died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown. He was 92 years old. Elliott was born April 10, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Russell Hardiman and the late Mary Hardiman (nee - Greiner). He is the beloved husband of the late Ethelmae Hardiman; father of June Maloney and her husband Michael and the late Janice Hardiman; grandfather of Kaitlin and Sean Maloney; brother of the late Russell Hardiman and his wife the late Maggie.
Elliott was a proud graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania. He worked as an electrical engineer for RCA, Philco and later for GRM Aerospace. He met Ethelmae on a blind date set up by her cousin. The two were wed on April 9, 1960 (the day between their two birthdays). Elliott and Ethelmae raised their daughters in the Fox Chase Manor section of Abington Township.
Elliott was a longtime active member at Fox Chase United Methodist Church where he was the church treasurer for many years. He was involved in the social groups and sang in the choir He enjoyed spending his free time at their home in Ocean City, NJ making memories with his family.
Relatives and friends were invited to a memorial service for Elliott and Ethelmae, who passed on December 22, 2020, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Fox Chase United Methodist Church, 201 Loney Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. His graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Julia Singleton from Fox Chase United Methodist Church.
