The following was composed by Christopher’s family.

Christopher Trickel passed away at the age of 42 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was the beloved son of Rudi Trickel and Linda Daniels (Richard). Christopher is also survived by his grandmother, Nancy Heilemann, his brother, Matthew (Katherine) and niece, Abigail and nephew, Axel as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Christopher was pre-deceased by his step-mother, Jill Trickel, his grandfather, William Heilemann, his grandparents, Otto and Erna Trickel and aunt, Dianna Francabandera. There are also many dear friends and family who will miss Christopher. By many of his friends, he was affectionately known as Tink.

Christopher was born on January 25, 1981 the day of Super Bowl XV. Unfortunately, the Eagles lost that one to the Oakland Raiders, 27 -10, but we didn’t care.

Christopher was baptized on April 26, 1981 and continued his Christian education and received the sacraments while attending St. Cecilia School in Philadelphia.

He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 2000. During his high school years, he was very active in Boy Scout Troop 160 located in the Burholme section of Philadelphia. He spent several summers on the staff at Ockanickon Boy Scout camp as a counselor and made it out to Philmont Scout Ranch for High Adventure in New Mexico. During those summers in camp, Christopher earned enough merit badges to achieve the coveted rank of Eagle Scout.

During Christopher’s pre-teen and teen years, he enjoyed travelling with his families to various destinations. He enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Maine, the excitement and entertainment of Disney World and the roller coasters at Cedar Point Park in Ohio.

After high school, Christopher spent some time in the Navy and upon returning home, eventually found himself in trade school and became an electrician in commercial applications. He was known for his strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.

Christopher loved to listen to music and was passionate about fixing up his motorcycle. From a young age, he was interested in helping his father with car repairs. His family and friends will all remember his big heartedness and willingness to help anyone in need. He was always willing to help family members and friends with their home projects and while he had a pick up truck, he was often popular with anyone moving and he was always glad to help. He often helped his Grand-Dad or Nan with their home improvements.

Christopher was a giver, a man of service which was instilled in him from his upbringing and his years with the scouting.

Christopher is already missed beyond words and he has left a void which can never be filled. We pray that the Good Lord has provided Christopher with the Peace that escaped him in his earthly life.

Eternal rest, grant unto Christopher, O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May Christopher be resting in Your Heavenly Peace now and forever. Amen.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church at 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA. Visitation was from 9:30 to 10:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Immediately after the Mass the committal occurred at Lawnview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Troop 160, c/o Bill MacBride, 106 Penn Oak Road, Flourtown, PA 19031, or a charity of your choosing in Christopher’s memory.
