Paul N. Baione Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, returned to our Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was 91 years old. Paul was born June 8, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Nicholas Baione and the late Cecilia Baione. He is the beloved husband of 48 years of Ruth Hafer Baione; loving father of Desiree (Kenneth) Kohl, Kim Renee Baione, Paul (Jackie) Baione III, the late Christine (Dave) Simpson, Keith (Debbie) Schoch, and the late John (Mary) Schoch; grandfather of Kara, Abby, Ian, Nick, and Adrienne; brother of the late Nicholas Baione and the late Katherine Annabell. Also survived by four great-grandchildren, his nephew Jonathan Custer and his adoring niece Annmarie Hafer.

Paul worked as a general contractor for many years. He enjoyed golf and playing cards. While every golf score wasn’t low and every poker hand wasn’t a royal flush, with his family and friends, he was a true winner. Paul was always up for a round of golf with his friends. He always looked forward to his bi-monthly poker game, in his mancave, with his poker group who were retired Philadelphia law enforcement.

Paul was a man of faith. He enjoyed life. He was his family’s rock. He was a gentle giant of a man, a gentleman and a man without guile. Paul was loved by many.

Paul had a notorious sweet tooth satisfied only by his loving wife’s baking, especially Ruth’s famous coconut custard pie.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His funeral service began at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Religious services were conducted by The Reverend John D. Daniels from Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046
