Joan Beverly Maier Baranyi, 87, of Warminster, Pa. peacefully entered God’s Kingdom on May 10, 2023. She was born on July 14, 1935 to Margaret and William Holeton. Wife to the late Charles Maier (who predeceased her in 1992) and the late Alexander Baranyi (who predeceased her in 2000).

She is survived by her daughter Susan Dawn Kirby and husband Thomas Kirby, granddaughter Kirstin Julia Murphy (nee Kirby) and her husband Christopher Murphy and great grandson Christian James Murphy, sister Jane Smith and her husband Nelson Smith along with nieces and nephews.
Joan was born and raised in Philadelphia. She became a longtime resident of Anns’ Choice and enjoyed spending summers at her Ocean City, NJ home with family.

Joan will long be remembered for her musical talents. She began playing in Crescentville Baptist Church at the young age of 17 and continued her career as an organist for Warminster Presbyterian Church, Juniata Park Methodist and most recently at Ann’s Choice. She also was the accompanist for various choirs including The Singing Squires, elementary schools, weddings, and funerals.

A graveside service was performed on Wednesday May 17, at 11:00 AM at Lawnview Cemetery at 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Cars may enter the cemetery and wait at the first intersection by the mausoleum and then follow the hearse to the burial plot.

Funeral Services were provided by Wetzel and Son Funeral Home in Rockledge, PA.
