John Austin Ingham, 95, of Willow Grove, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He grew up as a child and lived with his parents and two brothers on the beautiful island of Bermuda. At the young age of 15, he left his family for the United States and attended Tri-State University in Indiana and earned a degree in Engineering. He then came to Pennsylvania to begin his long and successful career as an Electrical Engineer at Philco/RCA/General Electric, working as a Defense Contractor, and retired in 1988. Early in his career, he met and married the love of his life, Nancy J. King and, together, they raised their five children in the home where he remained until his passing. John also served in the US Army from 1955 until 1957.

One of his greatest passions was cooking. He always enjoyed preparing and hosting traditional family holiday dinners. The herbs and vegetables that he loved to grow in his garden would always end up in one of his many delicious recipes.

He also truly enjoyed the many family vacations back to Bermuda over the years.

John is survived by his children, Sandra Frye (Brad), John Jr (Deborah), Terrence (Laura), Kimberly Maloney (Kevin), and Scott, as well as his six grandchildren, Adam Maloney (Lexi), Aaron Maloney (Taylor), Tristan Maloney (Jessica), Luke Maloney, Sara Ingham and Johnathan Ingham. He also leaves behind four great grandchildren, Jackson, Elle, Evelyn and Dean Maloney, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy, his parents, William and Rosalie and brothers, William and Terrence Ingham.

Services were held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to honor his great grand-daughter, Evelyn, to Angelman Syndrome Foundation, 3015 E. New York Street, Suite A2 #285, Aurora, IL 60504 angelman.org.
