William N. "Papa Bear" Schroeder of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania died Thursday, June 15, 2023 at his home. He was 86 years old. Bill was born November 18, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late William Schroeder and the late Anna M. Schroeder (nee - Klosz). Survived by his sister Charlotte Carlin (spouse John). Brother of his late sister, Mary Ann Schroeder, SSND. He is the beloved husband of the late Patricia Anne (nee Ruane) Schroeder; father of William Schroeder Jr (spouse Brenda), Michael Schroeder (spouse Kelly), and Scott Schroeder (spouse Joan). Grandfather of Cara Schroeder, Erin Schroeder and her husband Steve McDonald, Nicole Schroeder, Danielle Schroeder, Marissa Schroeder, Alexa Schroeder and her partner Matt Moser, and Scott Schroeder. Great grandfather of Cole, Eily, Finley, Quinley, and Keegan. Bill was loved by his entire family and many long time friends.

Bill met his beloved Pat in the summer of 1960 while bowling in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He worked for 44 years as a television repairman for Sears. He moonlighted as “Mr. Fixit” repairing all types of electronics. Bill enjoyed bowling and camping with his wife and friends at the Hickory Run Campground for many years. He was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, He attended two super bowls (with losing outcomes) and stayed home to watch Super Bowl LII in 2018 and his favorite team go on to victory. “One of the happiest days of his life”.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012.

Religious services were conducted by Fr. William S. Harrison from Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
