Robert M. Spiegle (Bobby) of Cheltenham, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his residence. He was 66 years old. Bobby was born on October 25, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the first son of Robert R. Spiegle and Elizabeth M. Beattie (nee - Miller). He is the beloved husband of Carol M. Charles-Ball, brother of Annetta Downing and her husband Michael, Steven Spiegle and his wife Natalie, Tammy Linker and her husband Thomas, Thomas Spiegle and his late wife Marie and brother-in-law Thomas Charles. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his three cats, Baby Girl (Chase), Buddy (The Boy) and Tiki.
Bobby graduated from Mastbaum High School in 1974, where he studied Carpentry. In 1982, he joined the Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska where he served his country for three years. His service in the Army allowed him to continue his education where he received a degree in electronics. He relocated to El Paso, TX for a short period to work as a military contractor and also continued his work at Fort Bliss Military Base before returning back to Philadelphia where he continued his work at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and to be reunited with his beloved future wife, Carol. Bobby had a real love for animals - especially cats, which he had many of. He also enjoyed music, was a big history buff and always loved reading and learning about history. He also enjoyed Philadelphia sports, particularly the Eagles, Phillies and 76rs.
