Rosanda "Rosa" Trifunovic of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Friday, June 30, 2023 at VITAS - Nazareth Hospital. She was 87 years old. Rosa was born August 19, 1935 in Ručići, Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, daughter of the late Budimir Dmitrovic and the late Milica Dmitrovic (nee - Savkovic). She is the beloved wife of the late Srecko Trifunovic; mother of Mira Jovanovic and her husband Predrag and Miško Trifunovic and his wife Dušica; grandmother of Milan Jovanovic and his wife Nevena, Ivana Arandjelovic and her husband Andrija, Branimir Trifunovic, and Bogdan Trifunovic; great grandmother of Jana, Luka, Filip, and Danica; sister of the late Milivoje Dmitrovic and the late Cica Djurovic; sister in law of Milijana Srbovic, Milosava Vasiljevic, and the late Kovinka Dimitrijevic.
Srecko and Rosa were married in 1956 in Serbia. They emigrated to the United States with their children in 1967. Rosa loved to work in her garden, growing vegetables and flowers. She kept an immaculate home and was a wonderful cook making traditional Serbian dishes for family and friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. and funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Relatives and friends were also invited to her graveside service on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services were conducted by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Milorad Orlic from Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 506 Stahr Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 506 Stahr Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027.
