Hilda Feuchter, of Jamison, PA, formerly of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023. She was 82 years old. Hilda is survived by her son, Stephen, and his wife Andrea, and grandchildren Andrew, Christopher, Brooke, Alexis, and Carly. Hilda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Emil, her son Gary, her parents, and brother Frank.

Hilda was born on December 13, 1940, in Philadelphia to her parents Frank Strehle and Albine (nee Ivans). Growing up in Northeast Philadelphia, her family built a house on Haldeman Avenue which was just a country road in 1952. She and her brother Frankie enjoyed their teenage years that the neighborhood had to offer. Hilda attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary School and was in the first graduating class of the “new” Northeast High School class of 1958. Down the street was the Bayern VV club and it was there that she met Emil Feuchter at one of the Saturday night dances. Two years later they were married and bought a house in Somerton. Hilda worked as an executive secretary at Philadelphia Electric, and later sold real estate, and Emil was successful in the machine tool business. In 1967, Stephen was born, and Gary followed in 1970. At that time, they moved to Huntingdon Valley and settled there until recently. She and Emil celebrated 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2017.

Hilda was a very active person and was always traveling somewhere with friends and family. She and Emil were able to visit many countries in Europe, Africa, South America, and most states in the USA. They were particularly fond of the beach and spent many fun times in Avalon, Florida, and Aruba. Hilda enjoyed her time at the local German clubs, playing cards, dancing, reading, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:50 A.M. and to her funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services were conducted by The Reverend Norbert F. Hahn, Ph.D. pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster, PA 18974.

Family flowers arranged by Domenic Graziano Flowers & Gifts 215-675-2271.
