Jane E. Binford of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was 85 years old. Jane was born February 4, 1938 in Jeddo, PA, daughter of the late William John Eardley and the late Aurelia R. Eardley (nee - Culp). She is the beloved wife of the late John W. Binford Sr.; the loving mother of John W. Binford Jr., David Binford, Donna Haenchen and Amy Jo Kirkpatrick; and grandmother of Matthew. She is also survived by her two cats, Tang and Lena. Jane was preceded in death by her four siblings: Ruth, Evie, Barbara, and Tommy.

Jane grew up in Hazelton, PA. She graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School. Jane went to Nursing School at Holy Redeemer. After graduating, she worked there for a couple of years as a Nurse’s Aide. After leaving Holy Redeemer, she began working as a Nurse Tech at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She worked there for 41 years, until she retired.

Jane loved fishing. Jane and her late husband used to go fishing at the shore every weekend on their boat. She also loved Elvis, knitting, and horses. Jane was a lifelong cat lover. Throughout her life, she always had cats as pets, and she adored them all. She also used to breed Persian cats. Above all else, Jane loved and cherished her family. Her grandson Matthew was especially important to her; she adored him more than words can express.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by Chaplain Brian Cox from Wesley Enhanced Living.
