The following obituary was written by Joan’s family.

Beloved wife of the late Dr. Herbert S. Law. Loving Mother of Lynne Kimberly Law Bennett, Esq. and her husband David G. Bennett D.C. and Lori Kristen Law-Reed and her husband Scott A. Reed. Grandmother of Jackson Dylan Reed, Ryan David Bennett, Alexander Scott Reed, and Sydney Danielle Bennett.

She is also survived by sister-in-law Deloris Law, nephew Neil Law (Amy), Catherine Law, and her grandniece Margaret Law.

Joan met her husband, Herbert Law, at Juniata College and they were married in 1955. While Herbert attended chiropractic college in Indianapolis, Joan taught elementary school. After his graduation, they established their home in Horsham and started the practice in Willow Grove. Joan taught Home Economics at Upper Moreland High School until 1968, but continued her love of sewing and cooking throughout her life.

Throughout her lifetime she was dedicated to chiropractic, good health, and supported her husband and son-in-law’s joint chiropractic practice in Willow Grove. She was devoted to her family and grandchildren and supported their many activities.

Joan was a Lifetime Girl Scout and an active member at Willow Grove United Methodist Church where she served on several committees such as Memorial Gifts, Flowers, and Finance.

Joan enjoyed traveling with her family and the memories that were created. Some of her favorite places were Ocean City, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and England.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan’s memory to Willow Grove United Methodist Church.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Sunday, July 23 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA, 19090. A viewing took place the following day, Monday, July 24 beginning at 10:00 AM with a service beginning at 11:00 AM at Willow Grove United Methodist Church, 34 North York Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Burial followed at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, PA 19355.
