Craig Peter Hansen of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at his home at the age of 43. Craig, the son of Hans Peter Hansen and the late Marie E. Hansen (nee - Magiera) was born on November 16, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Craig was born the oldest of three siblings and spent most of his time in Philadelphia. Although he did move a few times when he was younger, his family made their way back to Philadelphia where he lived for the remainder of his life.
After graduating from Northeast High School in 1998, he attended Devry Technical Institute where he graduated with his associate degree in electronics. His degree earned him a career at Coil Plus where worked his way up to becoming Quality Control Manager.
Craig had many hobbies and interests in his life but nothing more important than his son, Johnny. They often spent time camping, fishing, and going to Pennypack Park. Craig loved to fish, a passion that was passed on from his late grandfather. He also was an avid sports fan where he bled green, Go Birds, and rooted for all Philly sports teams. In addition to watching, he loved playing softball and winning championships with his team, playing pool and enjoyed his previous bowling league. Craig loved water, loved the outdoors, and loved anything nature related. Craig also loved his family so much; he protected his sisters since they were young and would do anything for them. He was a family guy and often could be found spending time with any one of them.
Craig leaves to cherish his memory his son, Johnathan Peter Hansen; his father, Hans Peter Hansen; his sister, Kristen Elizabeth Rodriquez, her husband Michael, and their son Jaxon; his sister Karen Marie Williams, her husband Walter, and their son Aiden; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
In lieu of flowers, Craig’s family requests that donations be made to his GoFundMe.
