The following obituary was written by Karen’s family

Karen Lynn Shupe, nee Dale of North Wales Pennsylvania died on August 25, 2023 after a long battle with several health issues at the age of 58. She fought with courage and patience! She was born February 17, 1965 in Abington, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Charles Dale and Christina Millili Dale. She is the sister of Tracy Dale Robinson, spouse Anthony Robinson. She is the aunt of Ali and Zoe Robinson. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Kiki and many loving friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She attended St. David Elementary School in Willow Grove PA. and Archbishop Wood, class of 1983, Warminster PA.

Karen worked for various retail companies throughout her adult life most recently for Nordstrom Rack in Willow Grove.

She loved to vacation by cruise to Bermuda and other Caribbean islands. She also loved her time with family vacationing in Ocean City and Cape May NJ where she enjoyed walking on the beach early in the morning with Ali and Zoe looking for seashells. She also loved to collect miniature figures and items for her cherished doll house as well as unique Teddy Bears. Another passion for Karen was her love of the Christmas season as she would immediately plan and shop for the next year in January. She loved to shower her family and friends with gifts. Karen would not leave the house without a special handbag that coordinated with her outfit of the day.

Karen handled her sickness and treatment with bravery and grace and remained hopeful despite the harsh effects of chemotherapy. Karen and her whole family were cared for diligently and kindly by her dedicated home nurses and care aides, Lara, Krystal, Lori, Debbie, Kimmy, Lucy, and Marie. Additional thanks to Accent Care Home Hospice and their team of nurses and aides who insured a peaceful transition for Karen and showed their caring support to her family and friends.

Karen and her immediate family greatly appreciated all the cards, visits, flowers, gifts and support from her family, friends and nursing staff during her transition. She and her family felt the love.
We are comforted by the belief that after her passing she was met by her late relatives including her father, grandmother, Dorothy Dale, and aunt Catherine Dollfus, as well as her late cat Fatty who welcomed her to the peacefulness of Heaven.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Abington SPCA, 1006 Edge Hill Rd, Abington PA 19001,
