Guenter Rudolph Herrmann of Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the age of 87. Guenter was born April 19, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Rudolph Adolph Herrmann and the late Frieda Elisabeth Herrmann (nee - Hempel) and brother of the late Wilfred Herrmann and his wife Elaine. He is survived by his longtime partner and spouse James Clements, his nephews Keith Herrmann, Craig Herrmann and his wife Kyle, his grandniece Kelsey and grandnephew Brian, step-father of Herta Tucker and her husband Christopher, Johanna Ludwig and her husband Jack, and Jim Clements and his wife Susan, Pop-pop of Grace, Ryan, and Patrick Tucker, John and Wilhelmina Ludwig, and Hayden and Amelia Clements.
Guenter graduated from Frankford High School and was in the Army Reserve for several years serving as a light vehicle driver. He was a longtime office employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail retiring in 1998. Guenter and his family were longtime members of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
