Michael J. Leavy of Royersford, Pennsylvania died Friday, May 23, 2025 at Arcadia at Limerick Pointe. He was 83 years old. Michael was born August 14, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Thomas Leavy and the late Dorothy Leavy (nee - Adams). He is the beloved husband of the late Grace M. Leavy (nee Dietz); father of Michael Leavy, Kristin Curnew, Megan Leavy, and Shannon Otte; grandfather of eight; great grandfather of three.
He was an owner of an MJL Insurance and Financial Services for many years, and after retirement worked as a cashier at Giant and enjoyed interacting with the customers. He enjoyed attending every family/grandchildren’s events, and watching the Philadelphia sports teams.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. His graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Matthew P. Windle from St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
