Joseph George Glatts, of Rockledge Pennsylvania, died on October 13, 2023. He was 83 years old. He was born January 28, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pa to George and Agnes Glatts. He was the husband of Barbara Edith Glatts and father of Joan, Steve, and Daniel Glatts and his wife Carla. The grandfather of Andrew Werkheiser and his wife Jessica and granddaughters Amy and Kristy Werkheiser, and Avery and Addyson Glatts. Great-grandfather of Brayden, Bryce, and Caylee Werkheiser.

Joe was a simple hard-working man who always put his family and his faith first. He was born in Philadelphia, lived in Kensington as a kid. Later in his twenties he married his sweetheart Barbara and moved to Rockledge, Pa. He was employed at Nice Ball Bearing's in Kulpsville, Pa. for 25 years. He also worked for the Rockledge borough for 20 years.

Joe was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and would devotedly watch the Eagles every Sunday. Baseball was his favorite sport. Though being a Philly native, his favorite baseball team was not the Phillies. Joe was a loyal and passionate Atlanta Braves Fan. He would watch as many games as possible and always express how the Braves were better than the Phillies.

He loved cookies. His grandchildren referred to him as the "cookie monster." He would clear a cookie tray at any party. Joe loved spending time with his family and coveted the annual family trip to Wildwood New Jersey every summer. He loved music. His radio was always playing in the kitchen. If it wasn't music from the 50's &60's, he would be getting sound financial advice from his favorite talk radio shows. A huge hobby of his was to maintain his backyard vegetable garden. A perfect day for him would be relaxing on the couch with a cup a coffee and watching TV. He will be missed by his family and friends.
